I just signed up for a Pandora account.

I used to really enjoy listening to little known artists and searching the record and CD bins for some unusual genius to listen to and share with my friends.

But as I have gotten older, and having passed through several stages of my life as well as stages of listening to different genres, my music listening has gotten stale.

My CD collection began to look like I was merely buying the latest Cure reissue or Aimee Mann release.

I'm hoping by beginning to participate in Pandora, I'll return to discovering interesting, unusual, well-crafted music.

And after a day, I'm really enjoying what I'm hearing.
